This collection is exploring an alternative to taking visual context for granted. The millions of ways we view the Internet — on mobile phones, in finicky browsers, through old, broken monitors — make it impossible to present a single, unified digital image to all viewers.
So: I'm not trying to show the same thing to everyone. I'm admitting that consistency of vision on the Internet is an illusion, or at best, an emulation. I'm presenting a series of instructions that will be misinterpreted, reappropriated, and in many cases, ignored.
I'm more interested in embracing the unpredictability and personality of a viewer's experience, than in masking the things that make our experiences different.
